Importance of Wild Plants

Climate change & biodiversity

Wild spaces are known to be huge sources of carbon capture, and returning more land to the wild is going to be critical if we are going to help reverse the damage of climate change. They also are  key in boosting biodiversity, not only of the plants themselves but the animal species dependant on them.

Wellbeing

Engaging in nature has been shown to be hugely beneficial to mental and physical health - helping us reconnect with mother earth and the source of our existence. Whether it's forest bathing (as the Japanese do), meditation, foraging, or engaging in a craft that allows you to enter a state of flow.

Humanity's Roots

Engaging with wild plants was second nature to humans throughout 95% of our history, and learning about past usage and relationship with plants is our lost heritage. Wisdom and techniques were passed down from generation to generation, an integral part of culture, medicine and nourishment.
